This is a way too general question, The best way for whom for what purpose and for what level, What is of more importance fo you in learning English, are you getting ready for the international exams like Tofel or IELs or even more advanced exams? Do you just need to learn to speak fluently , are you going to travel abroad? , Do you plan to continue learning English in an advanced level?

What I can tell you with this little information yoou provided is that I have had the experience of studying Headway books, and I can say that it is a brilliant book but it's focus can be more on grammar than speaking skills, however that again depends on your teacher and the class invironment. Headway books are etremely complete in every zone such as grammar vocabulary, listening and reading comprehension, and if you pass all 12 levels of it and really study it well you not only can speak well but you will be able to manage International exams.

As about Interchange Ihad not had a first hand expereince but I can tell you that the focus of this book is more on Speaking and improving your speaking talents, I guess it does have some grammar sections too but the main focus is on Speaking.

Oh and I forget to tell you that Headway is a originally British English book, so all the idioims, vocabs, expressions and most importantly it's cassets for Listening is with British accent, while Interchange is an american Book.

Most people believe that Leaning English with and through a British English institute and books are more reliable but in this subjects opinions differ.

well i think if you wanna learn english grammer well u must study communicate what you mean! this is an awesome book to learn grammer with all the details!! and for writting the book paragraph Development is great! for vocab 504 and for reading skills, select reading! !

A Compete complex Of Grammer and Important Words, When You study some of them , You Really Know Much About English , Quick and Easy.

well,first you should define your purpose to learning English,if you wanna learn En for talking with native persons in abroad I can indicate this point that VOCABULARY is more important than other & you can increase this skill & listen too the news ... too
and I hear that topnoche books have more conversation skills & for this goal maybe it is better
