what is the difference between"as long as" and "as far as"?
[ltr]Well in some situations they're different and in some situations they're partly the same. To Clarify:
1st situation: "As long As" is used to show or express a future idea and it's mainly about the "time" element. Example: I'll remember that day as long as i live.
You can see that it's refering to a period of time.
As far As is used to show a length limtation. For example: as far as i can see, there are no cats around here
in this example as far as is refering to the person's eye sight which is a lenght limitation.
2nd situtation. They are partly the same. look at these two examples:
As long as i'm concerned you can do what you like.
As far as i'm concerned, You can do what you like.
You can see that the meanings are the same and the place of usage is the same, so there's no different in using them in these type of sentences.
Anymore questions? just ask. or please correct me if i explained something wrong. i'll fix it ASAP. x[/ltr]
