u do. but even americans use dictionaries sometimes. so u don't have to know 100% of the words. what i mean is that most of the things we learn in adv.3 books R never used in our daily life

Agreed.
most of the words in AD series are in vein. even teachers claim that.
and i think about newspapers and normal novels you won't need a lot of word. actually you need expressions and slang words and phrases more than some weird words

پاسخ : General ILI Students' topic

Exactly! Most students wouldn't understand anything if u talk 2 'em in slang! :(

I don't think it's appropriate to use slang words. Can you name some of the hard words in adv? I have a hunch most of them are archaic! Oh, and the good thing about reading english books is that one word is repeated a lot ( frequently used by the writer) so it's a lot easier to remember
Your English is very good, Both of you ;D

Not only should we study rubbish words like those that are mentioned above, but we also are asked about them in ILI final exam. I never forget about being asked about "Muffin" (a kind of cake or something like that) in last final exam :|

I said slang terms for new novels and scripts. not classic novels ;D
I have finished ILI. ok? I can not read just one line of Charles dickens novel, a tale of two city. or mark twain short stories without checking dic. it is not just words. my problem is comprehension too.
I think we are ruining this topic :-s here is not the right place for our discussion :-s
