پاسخ : English Problems or Questions

به نقل از N.H.F :
What’s the deference between present perfect and present perfect continuous?

Present Perfect has 2 types:
1.For talking about the actions & situations that are started in the past & have continued into the present.
2.For talking about the actions which are finished. the action in the past has a result NOW.

The Present Perfect continuous is used to show the continuation or a situation that began in the past & still is in progress.(Like the first type of Present Perfect)It usually comes with a TIME EXPRESSION.
There's not much difference in meaning between the Present Perfect continuous & the Present Perfect simple (the first type). But the continuous form is specially used with verbs that take some time to happen, such as LIVE,WORK,STUDY,EAT,etc.

What does “put things in perspective “mean?

put things in perspective means the ability to think/the act of thinking about problems & decisions in a responsible way without exaggerating their importance.Put sth into perspective is also correct. But this expression is usually used to talk about problems.

Or
I’m so tired because I’ve driven
It depends! If that person is still driving,it's better to use present perfect continuous.
But if that person has stopped driving, the action is finished, and the result is being tired, you must use present perfect simple.

1 .In case...= 'cuz of the responsibility of sth happening.
You'd better take the keys in case she's out.
2.Sometimes it means IF IT IS TRUE THAT...(the rest of the sentence.)
3.in case of sth=If sth happens
In case of fire, ring the alarm.
4.in that case=If that happens or has happened;if that is the situation.
'She wants to study Chemistry.' 'in that case,I don't make her confused.'

It may have two different meanings:
1.And you will receive .Means you can receive sth and it is used for giving hope to sb !
2.and you are determined or you have to receive.Means you are forced to receive sth..

do u know what the tag question form of "may"and imperative sentences are?

May is rarely used in a positive tag (and even in negatives, it is comparatively rare) . Since 'will' is not exactly appropriate, there will be no exact tag question for this sentence. If a tag question were for some reason considered essential, then You'd better complete rephrasing with a different structure (e.g. It is possible that...isn't it?).
But seldom,It can be written in these structures:
1. They may see you tomorrow, won't they?
2. They may see you tomorrow, may they not?
3. They may see you tomorrow, mayn't they?
Among these three, the second one is better than the others BUT,
As I said, they're not common at all,& It's better not to use tag question with may; Use a different structure, instead.

Question tags for imperative:

When the sentence is imperative, the question tag at the end must be "will/won't+you?"
(won't can be used for both positive & negative forms,in this case.)
1.Be quiet,can you?
2. Be quiet,will you?
3. Be quiet,won't you?
& the negative form is the same as the above.

I think "may" tag question is wrong.
It should be like this example:
U may go home.mightnt u?
